Jan. 24, 2014 — British Columbia's first public school of traditional Chinese medicine will be hosted by Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Advanced Education Minister Amrik Virk says the focus of the new school
will be on offering B.C. residents more choice and greater options in
health care.
Richard T. Lee, the parliamentary secretary for
traditional Chinese Medicine, says establishing the school is an
opportunity to strengthen the province's position as the Canadian leader
in Chinese medicine.
The government says establishing a school
in the public post-secondary system will complement the six private
schools already operating in the province.
