Dec. 27, Fort
Wayne, IN – Certification courses in Cox Technic Flexion Distraction protocols will
be available for DCs in Canada throughout 2013.

Cox
Technic is research-documented spinal manipulation to relieve lower back pain,
neck pain, arm pain, leg pain and a host of other spinal related conditions
like disc herniation, spinal stenosis, post-surgical continued pain, and
pregnancy related back pain. Cox Technic’s developer, Dr. James M. Cox, has
insisted for nearly 50 years on documenting the science of this non-surgical
alternative to back surgery approach to back pain relief in the hands of
well-trained back specialists.

Seminars
in the Cox Technic System of Spinal Pain Management bring the attendee the
opportunity to experience and learn the proper application of Cox Technic
spinal manipulation according to the evidence-based protocols developed in
conjunction with chiropractic researchers and research efforts involving
chiropractic and medical facilities.

Cox
Technic continuing education involves:
small group hands-on training;
actual patient presentations from clinical practice;  and a review of the latest findings
from chiropractic research studies and publications.

Certification Course,
Part I

Part I is
introductory and appropriate for anyone interested in studying flexion
distraction, its research and its system of examination, diagnosis and
treatment. Emphasis is on the foundational aspects of the technique from the
anatomical and biomechanical perspective to its history and current
biomechanical and clinical research project outcomes. Non-discogenic conditions
and their care are highlighted. Clinical application of treatment protocols is
introduced and practiced in small groups, and the adjunctive protocols as
applied in Cox Technic practices are shared.

Hands-on Workshop

This
hands-on workshop, on-site with a certified Cox Technic physician in his
office, allows more individualized hands-on instruction and practice in the
proper protocols of Cox Technic flexion distraction. The course is limited to
six participants to ensure an individualized experience. Protocols I and II for
cervical spine and lumbar spine and specialized protocols for thoracic spine
and other applications will be shared in this four-hour workshop.

Advanced Hands-on Workshop

This hands-on workshop is arranged for chiropractic physicians who
want more hands-on experience with the proper protocols (I and II) of Cox
Technic Flexion Distraction for cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar
spine. The workshop is limited to six participants to ensure a session for
individual attention and practice. The Cox Table will be available for use
during the workshop session in Dr. Marc Baker's office in Musquodoboit Harbor,
Nova Scotia.
