DCs invited to the CSMTA Fall Conference and AGM

 The Alberta Chapter of the Canadian
Sports Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA) invites all chiropractors to its
2010 Educational Conference and AGM to be held in Edmonton from October 22-24.



The
conference will be held at Ellerslie Rugby Park
in Edmonton and
will feature a number of guest speakers, workshops on various sports massage techniques,
and
the CSMTA
banquet,  at which experts in sports
therapy will present new concepts and research.

CSMTA
membership is not required in order to attend or participate.  CSMTA
conference organizers have arranged for an excellent educational experience
with several outstanding topics to choose from. All of the topics are highly
relevant and the skills gained can be put to effective use immediately!



Some
topics that will be featured will be:



  • Mobilisations
    of Muscles of the Upper Body
    by physiotherapist Charlie Kelly
  • Sprains,
    Strains and other orthopaedic conditions
    by sports
    massage therapist Jonathan Maister
  • Pearls
    of sports massage experience
    , a workshop given by a panel of
    speakers…..and much more.



The
members of the Alberta
chapter of the CSMTA will be hosting this conference and look forward to
offering attendees some outstanding western hospitality.  Accommodation
and transportation for out of town participants are currently being arranged
and updates will be available shortly.

 

The
Banquet will be another highlight, expected to attract several high profile
athletes who will speak about the positive impact that massage therapy has had
on their athletic careers.
