– The Association des Chiropraticiens du Quebec is proud to announce that it
will be hosting The Wellness Practice certification courses taught by Dr. James
Chestnut throughout 2011/2012.
Dr. James
L. Chestnut has been studying human wellness for over 24 years. He has a Bachelor of Physical Education
degree; a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology, with a
specialization in neurological adaptation; is a doctor of chiropractic; and
holds a post-graduate Certification in Wellness. Dr. Chestnut’s ability to interpret, teach
and clinically apply research findings makes him uniquely qualified as a
wellness doctor and lecturer.
His books
have set the standard for evidence-based wellness care and are the course texts
for the International Chiropractic Association (ICA) Wellness Certification
Program.
Dr.
Chestnut was named Chiropractic Educator of the Year for 2007 by the ICA, for his powerful and
unique contributions to the knowledge and skill levels of thousands of doctors
of chiropractic and students worldwide, and named Parker Seminars Chiropractor
of the Year for 2009.
Wellness Practice
Certification: What is it?
The
Wellness Practice – 21st Century Chiropractic Certification Program
provides doctors, students and CAs with scientific evidence and documentation
regarding all aspects of chiropractic and lifestyle as the foundations of
wellness and prevention.
Each
module contains the most up-to-date science-to-practice evidence-based chiropractic
and lifestyle intervention strategies that will move chiropractic offices into
a leadership role in the wellness field.
This program is designed to provide a better understanding of the
evidence regarding the benefits of chiropractic care and lifestyle choices, and
is endorsed by the ICA
as well as approved for continuing education credits.
Details and dates
The
certification will be provided in four separate modules over four
non-consecutive weekends in 2011 and 2012. Please note that each module can be
taken separately.
Montreal dates and themes for the courses
are as follows:
- October
15-16, 2011 – Scientific
and philosophical validation of the chiropractic wellness program - December
3-4, 2011 – Wellness
nutrition and natural health - February
11-12, 2012 – Wellness
physical fitness and spinal hygiene - April
21-22, 2012 – Wellness
state of mind, emotional health and secrets of eliciting patient lifestyle
change
All Montreal seminars will be
held at the Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel.
