May 3, Toronto, ON –  This past week, Toronto has been visited by two prominentchiropractic advocates and educators, Drs. Gerard Clum and Fabrizio Mancini.

Dr. Clumjoined the York-Peel Chiropractic Society (YPCS) on Tuesday, April 26, toaddress DCs and students regarding the current trends, and future directions,of chiropractic.  Dr. Clum, havingrecently retired as president of LifeWest ChiropracticCollege, drew on hisyears of experience within the profession to note that there remains a gapbetween chiropractic and other models of care, and that DCs need to be minding,as well as mining, this gap.

The YPCSevening event also featured a trade show, an informative introduction by thesociety’s president, Dr. Jamie Laws, and door prizes.

 

OnFriday, April 29, Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College ofChiropractic, took the stage as the introductory speaker at the ChiropracticAwareness Council’s (CAC)SpringCon 2011 weekend.  Dr. Mancini delivered a highly acclaimed talkthat encompassed his own experiences as a chiropractor and chiropracticeducator and how he has drawn on these within his role at Parker.  The SpringCon weekend also includedpresentations by Dr. Claudia Anrig and Mike Reid, breakout sessions for CAs andchiropractic students, a trade show, and opportunities to meet and network in avariety of social settings.

Bothspeakers were a powerful addition to two already informative, as well as enjoyable,events that brought together a number of DCs, CAs and students to strengtheneach attendee’s purpose and passion within their chiropractic roles.
