H.O.P.E. Day Annual Food Drive

Feb.  8, Wiarton, ON – On Thursday, February 11,
2010, the Wiarton Family Chiropractic Centre is presenting the 14th H.O.P.E.
Day, their annual food drive held in conjunction with the Wiarton Salvation
Army Food Bank.

H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) allows the community a way to help others
while helping themselves.  Developed by Dr. Raelynn Cancel in 1996, this
yearly food drive has brought in over 26,734 pounds of food for the local food bank
since its inception.  That is the weight of 12 Volkswagen Beetles, four
full-sized Hummers or a fully loaded school bus!

donations for most food banks peak at Christmas, the demand for their services
peaks in February.  As a result, food banks all over Ontario have difficulty keeping pace with
the needs of their communities.  It is times like these that small towns
pull together.


this vital need and the sentiments of Valentines Day in mind, The Wiarton
Family Chiropractic Centre will be hosting their annual "food-raiser"
in an attempt to fill the void in the Wiarton food bank.   Anyone who
