July
13, 2012 Toronto,
Ont. – The organizing committee of the 2012 Ontario Summer Games invites
chiropractors to participate as medical team volunteers in this year’s games.

The event
is the first major multi-sport event to take place in Toronto in many years and will serve as a
lead-up to the 2015 Pan-American and Para-Pan-American Games.  There will be over 1000 volunteers to support
3300 participants including 2500 athletes (13-19 years of age), competing in 28
sporting events at locations throughout Toronto
and neighbouring communities such as Brampton, Welland and Oshawa
on August 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2012.

The
committee is seeking the best healthcare professionals to lend their expertise
and passion to support the athletes in their quest for success and is aiming to
fill all volunteer positions.

Time
commitment will vary depending on volunteer position, but the minimal shift
duration will be four to six hours.  The
event is four days in total with one or two warm-up days before the main games
begin. Single day commitment is welcome and multi-day is preferred.

Interested
volunteers must register at: www.ontariosummergames.ca.  When you register, please indicate your
preference to participate as a medical volunteer and include your designation
when prompted.

If you have questions about the event or
volunteering for the medical team, please email Joanne Banfield at medical@2012ontariosummergames.com
