NUCCA recognizes Canadian DCs

24, Bloomington, MN – On April 19, two Canadian DCs were awarded distinctions
by the National Upper  Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA).

Dr.
Michael Foran of Vancouver British Columbia was awarded Canada’s fourth NUCCA
board certification.  Dr. Michael Foran (Palmer West  ’92) is a
second generation NUCCA chiropractor. His father, Dr. Patrick Foran (CMCC
’59; 1935-2006) was a NUCCA chiropractor and on the Canadian Chiropractor
magazine editorial advisory board.

Dr. Gordon Hasick of Calgary
Alberta was awarded the Ralph Gregory award. Dr. Ralph Gregory
DC (1912-1990) developed the NUCCA technique  – the award named for
him is received for lifetime achievement and contribution to the use and development
of the NUCCA technique. Dr. Hasick graduated from Palmer Iowa (’80) and
became NUCCA  board-certified  in 1989.  He is currently
involved with the Phase Contrast Migraine Headache research project at the
University of Calgary,  Foothills Hospital, the University of
Florida (Miami) and the Upper Cervical Research Foundation (UCRF). Dr. Hasick
is also the founder and president of the Dr. Ralph R. Gregory Memorial
Foundation Canada.

Dr. Foran stated  “My daughter Lauren was born one month after I
completed Part 2  so, as they say, life is literally what happens while you’re busy
making other plans. I dedicate this to her and my father.”

accomplishments.
