Jan. 10, Toronto, Ont. – MSK-Plus invites
chiropractors to its accredited programs in training, rehabilitation and pain
therapy.  Courses are scheduled for
winter 2013 and will be held in the greater Toronto area.  Practicing chiropractors and students
are welcome – CEUs are available for DCs.


January 26-27 – Mulligan Mobilization, Upper Quadrant
This
two-day seminar deals with Brian Mulligan’s concept of the application of
mobilization with movement (MWM). 
Seminar participants can expect a syllabus high on practical application
with a clear understanding of the rationale for use of MWM’s in both the spine
and upper extremities.

This
hands-on course is targeted to participants who have achieved at least an
intermediate level of experience in manual therapy.  Participants are advised to dress for a lab course and bring
a mobilization seat belt for technique practice.

February
23-24 – Building the Ultimate Back

This
two-day seminar, taught by Dr. Stuart McGill, aims to update delegates on the
most recent developments in clinical biomechanics of the lumbar spine –
specifically, how it works and how it becomes injured.  This is to develop an evidence-based
foundation for clinical decision making.

Dr.
McGill will also provide guidance in the application of this knowledge to the
clinic, workplace, rehabilitation cetnre and sports field to reduce the risk of
injury, optimize healing of the patient and build ultimate back performance in
the athlete.

Delegates
will have the opportunity to practice and develop their technique with
workshops throughout the day.

March
2-3 – Sports Nutrition

This
two-day course taught by Lowell Greib, MSc, MD, CISSN, will cover topics such
as controlling inflammation; nutritional support for arthritis; soft tissue
injury recovery; performance optimization; and hydration issues.
