In the last few issues, we have been highlighting some great initiatives by Canadian chiropractors in the area of community and health outreach. Whether it’s organizing or joining a run or bike ride for a cause or volunteering in a third-world country to provide chiropractic care to people who have never known or experienced it before, these doctors and their wonderful works are truly inspirational.

Regard for humanity, selflessness, the desire and audacity to make a real difference in the world – these are traits that don’t come easily, especially in today’s fast-paced world in which the consequences of progress have caused people to be virtually interconnected, yet personally disengaged. People are more actively nurturing online identities – connecting with friends, family and business associates – and giving less emphasis to personal, face-to-face interaction.

It is therefore always a delight to hear about stories of perseverance and personal advocacies reminding us that despite how far progress has taken us, we have not lost our humanity and our desire to make a better future for our children. Every little selfless act we do triggers a moment of inspiration – within ourselves and for others.

This is why Canadian Chiropractor Magazine is proud to launch the 2014 INSPIRE Awards, a program recognizing outstanding chiropractors who go above and beyond, dedicating time, money and talent in the service of others and for the advancement and promotion of chiropractic values to the community – both locally and globally.

If you or someone you know have an inspirational story to tell, we would like to hear from you – and we would like to highlight these stories in the pages of our magazine.

This recognition is open to all doctors of chiropractic in Canada. Members of the Canadian Chiropractor editorial advisory board will help us select some of the best, most inspiring chiropractors through the nomination and screening process.

For full details, see the 2014 INSPIRE Awards ad on page 7.

Nominate a deserving DC for the 2014 INSPIRE Awards – and give these outstanding chiropractors the recognition they deserve.
