July 26, Toronto, Ont. – The Epicurean Scholar – a division of Research Review Service – invites DCs to Niagara-on-the-Lake for its next continuing education event on Oct. 20, 2012 from 9a.m. to 5p.m. dinner and wine event follows.

The Epicurean Scholar specializes in providing upscale and unique weekend seminars for manual medicine providers including chiropractors, physiotherapists and other related disciplines.

This event in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be held at the White Oaks Resort and Spa and is titled Low Back Pain – Clinical Concepts and Research Updates.

The course outline is as follows:

  • Introduction: A discussion of the current status of LBP as a contemporary health care crisis – including its prevalence, health care costs and societal impact.
  • Current Medical Management: Practice patterns and state of the literature supporting medical interventions (injections, prescription drugs, etc); working together with family physicians and understanding their practice patterns to better serve our patients.
  • Clinical Practice Guidelines: Discussion and review of LBP CPGs, subgrouping LBP patients with historical and physical examination findings, etc.
  • Research Updates: An exploration of the state of the literature on commonly employed LBP treatment techniques, highlighting recent literature.

CEU credits are available for attendees. A personalized certificate will be issued confirming attendance at this eight-hour seminar which can be submitted for seven structured CEU credits.
