Ontario massage therapy conference welcomes chiropractic

Sept. 20, Burlington, ON – Attendees at the 2009 Ontario Message Trade Conference (OMTC)  in Burlington were able to benefit from
workshops and seminars given by chiropractors and/or on a variety of topics relevant
to DCs.

is the largest massage therapy continuing education event, as well as trade
show for massage products, held in Canada.  This year, it was held for two days at the
Holiday Inn in Burlington, where a formidable gathering of speakers from a
variety of professional backgrounds, spent two days educating each other on clinical
issues, practice management questions and topics in health and wellness.


from massage therapy, acupuncture, osteopathy, Reiki and chiropractic were all
present to make this an informative event. The trade show involved 50
exhibitors, featuring a wide variety of items for massage and other holistic
therapies, as well as literature, industry services, educational opportunities, and more.

The Chiropractic Component

Dillon, a Registered Massage Therapist in the province of Ontario,
gave a seminar aimed at chiropractors called “Incorporating
massage therapists into your chiropractic practice.”

Also present was Lloyd
List, who presented a session on “Strapping of joints for pain management and
techniques for soft tissue mobilization pre-AC adjustment”.

As well, George
Roth, DC, ND was present to offer a workshop dedicated to matrix re-patterning.  Massage therapists and other attendees looked
on as Dr. Roth discussed how matrix re-patterning works and how it benefits

of the event were very pleased with the attendance, this year, as well as the
broad scope of holistic healthcare learning and networking opportunities that
were available – not just to massage therapists but also to a host of other
practitioners – through the speakers, and at the trade show booths.
